Matt Shannon works closely with law firms and other professional services organizations to secure media opportunities and develop communications strategies that advance their business development goals by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the media, as well as having a clear understanding of his clients’ business and strategic goals.
Matt’s understanding of a wide variety of industries and subjects, and his experience with litigation and in-the-weeds regulatory matters, allow him to quickly comprehend complex subject matter and advise on a variety of situations, including litigation, third-party commentary, firm/company news, and other strategic initiatives. Matt’s grasp of the media landscape also allows him to advise on messaging strategy in these circumstances and guide clients through best practices or potential sensitivities.
He also has an acute understanding of the needs of reporters, allowing him to build strong relationships between his clients and the media by delivering targeted opportunities that match the client’s media goals with the perspectives that reporters are looking for.
